About the events
Phenix City Parks and Recreation’s February events are all about the love! Mothers, get ready for a fun and fancy evening with your son at the 4th Annual Mother-Son Masquerade Ball on Friday, February 9th, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Not to be left out, the following night, it’s Dad’s turn! Dads, you won’t want to miss the 2nd Annual Daddy Daughter Sneaker Ball on Saturday, February 10th, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Both events will feature music, dancing, food, a photo booth, games, keepsakes and more. Did we mention the candy bar? And no, we don’t mean a candy bar, like a Hershey’s chocolate bar. We mean a candy bar like a candy buffet, with a variety of candy and sweet treats.
Dress in your best for the masquerade ball, while the sneaker ball is semi-formal with sneakers, of course! Tickets for each event can be purchased in advance at the Phenix City Parks and Recreation Office, which is located at 1500 Airport Road.

Another thing both of the February events have in common is the location. For mother-son and daddy-daughter time, duos will find the excitement at Martin-Idle Hour Park Community Center. The community center is located at 3743 Moon Lake Drive.
