Public Health and Safety at the Forefront
Columbus native and owner Derek Shelling said it best in an interview with The Columbus Ledger Enquirer when he explained Warehouse 9 in Columbus was “born during the pandemic.” Because of this, the then empty 10,000 square-foot space was easily set up with the “new normal” in mind.
Tables are 10-feet apart and each offer a special, safe zone for individual dine-in parties. Opening a restaurant during the pandemic allowed Shelling to design the space within the parameters laid out by the latest CDC safety guidelines.
The restaurant and event center debuted with a grand opening in late August, and business has steadily grown. Shelling said on Oct. 12 they hosted an event for Jill Biden and it “marked a new high for business.”
What’s on the Menu?
Besides dine-in, Warehouse 9 in Columbus is open for carry out, delivery, catering, and private parties with in-house catering. Shelling, who has been in the restaurant business for years, made sure to offer a little something for everyone.
From salads like Berry Pecan Chicken Salad to sandwiches like a Classic Ruben, to entrees like Pan Seared Swai, Warehouse 9 has a full menu with a wide variety of signature dishes. If you opt for carry out, and you’re a family of four, be sure to check out the meal prep options.
Location and Hours
Warehouse 9 in Columbus is located at 920 Ninth St. near downtown. Normal business hours are Wednesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
