Busy making holiday plans? Make room for SHINE at the Columbus Botanical Garden if you love twinkling lights, nature, Santa, crafts, s’mores and more! The festivities start Dec. 4th with the Weekend Shine Festival and Holiday Market.
The Details
Presented by TSYS, SHINE at the Columbus Botanical Garden is a whimsical celebration with tons of holiday fixings! Happening multiple nights in December, guests can make memories meandering through the winter gardens.
Opening weekend is the only time that includes daytime activities such as the Holiday Market. Surprise your loved ones with fun stocking stuffers and one-of-a-kind gifts. Enjoy tasty treats from local food vendors. Play reindeer games that are fun for all ages. The Weekend Festival will be happening from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4th.
However, anytime you come to SHINE at the Columbus Botanical Garden, expect lots of holiday cheer. For instance, the Walk of Stars shines bright with stars that represent someone’s loved one or a special memory.
Next, discover the wonder on Candy Cane Lane. Perhaps, you’ll find Santa in his Victorian sleigh—camera-ready! But he didn’t come alone. Mrs. Claus will be there too. She’ll entertain the children with stories before they smile and say, “Cheese,” with the big guy.
Then make your way to one of several cast iron fire pits provided by Goldens’ Foundry & Machine Company for “s’more” fun. You and the family can roast marshmallows to the beat of holiday music.
In fact, each night will feature various musical and entertainment groups. Plus, there will be nature-inspired crafts and activities for the whole family to enjoy.
Stop by the Lillie Belle Market Gift Shop for unique gifts for loved ones, or pick out a keepsake for yourself. You can also enjoy light holiday refreshments from the Gumdrop Shop during your visit.

Can’t make it this weekend? No worries! You have nine other nights to choose from. Purchase your tickets in advance and select one of the following dates: Dec. 10, 11, 17, 18, 22, 23 or 28.
